Momalo, if a man comes to Camano and tries to buy me for his son, please don't settle for anything less then a goat and a pig.I feel I am worth more then that!
Banana calls me Sunday night. "Hey want to go to balkars restaurant? He is singing?" I said oh sure sounds like fun. When we get there though I find out that Banana lied to me! It was his sons wedding reception! Because they are Hindu it was (What I am guessing) a very traditional Indian wedding. The females were all in their fancy outfits (with amazing shoes!) and the guys all had their little outfits on and they were separated by sex. There was traditional homemade food there. I tried one of everything, I like some of it. But I did not like this round ball thing, ( I am led to believe it was a testicle from a pig) Banana and I split that one, she took it back out of her mouth but I had no where to put my half, I was forced to put it down my throat! YUCKY. We tried to leave after all of this, But balkar insisted we stay till the bride and groom had been fed and danced. Banana and I fed the bride and groom, it was awkward. Then everyone got up to do some dancing, We enjoyed watching them, and loved the music so we were having lots of fun! This guy next to me keeps telling me we should go dance I kept saying no no I don't know how. Eventually he grabs on to me and pulls me into all the people, I reach back and grab Banana, there is no way I am going in without her! So there were are, the only white people, and two girls in the middle of a bunch of men. They formed a circle around us and cheered us on, they even started throwing dollar bills at us!! We kept trying to get out of the circle but they kept pushing us back in. We escaped but not for long, we were pulled back onto the dance floor, back with the men. That is until balkar told us that we needed to dance with the ladies and not them men. So Banana and I are farely certain that we were claimed as sluts (especially cause of the money throwing thing) or if not we have marriages arranged for us, or we are married to like six guys each. We don't really know.
We left with smiles on our face. It was the most random evening ever! But definitely something I will remember for the rest of my life. It was odd being in a situation where I was the minority for once, and where the majority of the people around us didn't speak English. It was just a different experience and as humiliating as it was at times it definitely goes down in my books as AMAZING!
